Andy Warhol Keyring

A$15.00

Our Andy Warhol keyrings are as adorable, as they are educational and practical.

Each keyring comes with a smiling Andy Warhol token, a locket of charms based off some of his artworks and your choice of either a split ring keyring or a screw lock keyring.

Andy Warhol was an American born artist famous for his pop art, polaroid’s and crazy parties which he held at his studio known as 'The Factory'. In the locket on your keyring, you will find 3 references to his art: -

- Mickey Mouse- Warhol featured Mickey Mouse in both paintings and silkscreens including 'Mickey Mouse 265" which he created in 1981 for his "Myths" series.

- A rubber duck - Warhol took many polaroid pictures, including images of toys. One such toy he photographed was a rubber duck on wheels. This image was later sold by Sotheby's as part of a series they called "Selected Images of Toys and Cabbage Patch Kids".

- Dollar Bills - Warhol appeared to be quite focused on fame and money while alive, so it won’t come as much of a surprise that he painted dollar signs as well as US dollar bills. He even posted signed dollar bills through the post to his friends. One example of his dollar bill artworks are his 'Warhol's Dollar Sign Portfolio's from 1982.

Please note: Our keyrings are handmade and therefore slight variations will occur.

Keyring size guide: locket 3cm diameter, Andy token approx. 2cm diameter, plus either split key keyring 3cm diameter or screw lock keyring approx. 5cm diameter.
